KERI CHENEY
Keri was born and raised in Provo. She graduated from Provo High and is now going to UVU to get a degree in legal studies. Keri has worked for Utah County for five years and loves her job.
Some of her interests are bowling, biking, and boating. (You know – the three “B”s). Keri and her husband just got new bikes this year and plans to add to the distance she can go. Lake Powell is Keri’s favorite place to boat. The water is nice and warm and the area is beautiful.
She has 8 children, 20 grandchildren with one on the way, and 2 great-grandchildren. Keri loves to be home and just spend the evening with her family. Music is also very important. Keri plays the piano for her church and can sing beautifully.

ALICE BLACK
Alice has worked for Utah County for almost 5 years
in the Record’s Management Department.
She was born in Indiana and has lived in 20 different states. As a sophomore her family moved to Spanish
Fork, and she has stayed ever since.
Alice has two wonderful adult twin children (a boy
and a girl), who have given her three wonderful grandchildren. The family isn’t complete unless you count
the dog and cat. The pets get along so
well that they often sleep together and even share the
same litter box.
Alice has many interests such as crocheting, playing
racquetball, watching movies, and singing.
In fact, Alice enjoys singing so much, she sang a little
professionally. Alice is very friendly,
sociable, and outgoing. She loves to
talk and has a loud infectious laugh.

KARI SCHMIDT
Kari Schmidt graduated from BYU in Public Health and began working in
the Health Promotion Department in August 2003.
She has worked in Tobacco Prevention and Control, Heart Disease and
Stroke Prevention, Injury Prevention and currently serves as the Well4Life
Worksite Wellness Program Coordinator.
She loves seeing people healthy and happy and at their best so loves
working in Public Health.
She recently started working on a Master’s
Degree in Public Administration so doesn’t have much free time but when she
does she loves playing volleyball, softball, biking, hiking, interior design,
cooking, learning French, spending time with family and friends and
traveling. Her favorite place she’s
visited so far is Paris, France and the next place on her list is Santorini,
Greece.

DONNA SHERMAN
Donna has worked for the Children’s Justice Center for over 18
years. She is the secretarial support to
the CJC staff, and she loves her job.
Donna appreciates her co-workers, the DCFS caseworkers, law enforcement,
and the CJC Advisory Board members. They
all work so hard to make a difference in the lives of children and families
every day. “They are ALL dedicated and
amazing people,” she said.
Donna has four children and three adorable grandchildren. She is an avid reader and loves reading to
her grandchildren. She also enjoys
helping her grandkids with their homework, hanging out in the park, and going
to the Farmer’s Market. Donna likes
listening to country music and enjoys attending concerts. She also enjoys watching college basketball
and football, the NBA, the NFL, and the New York Yankees.
